House in Muda

Muda’s House is a family holiday home designed to be a meeting place for grandparents, parents and grandchildren.

In the initial briefing, the clients proposed a very interesting organization of the spaces. The request consisted of building the house in 3 different blocks: The main one with a bedroom and a small living room for the grandparents, and two similar ones for their children and grandchildren, with two bedrooms each.

Like a true Portuguese house, the center lives in the living room, where all spaces converge and unite, transparency reigns and light overflows. The glass allows opening the inside to the outside. The idea was to create a spacious and pleasant environment to experience unforgettable family moments.

Developed horizontally with a chimney balancing its composition, this house is subtly marked by traditional Portuguese architecture, which give it a character both picturesque and irreverent.

However, the charm of this place is not limited to the construction of the house or the perimeter of the land. The region of Comporta, where it is located, is magical, which extends through the rice fields, the pine forest and the dunes, until it flows into the sea of the unrivalled Alentejo coast.

A casa da Muda é uma casa de férias familiar pensada para ser um espaço de reunião entre avós, filhos e netos.

No briefing inicial, os clientes apresentaram uma proposta bastante diferente e interessante para a organização dos espaços. O pedido consistia em edificar a casa em 3 blocos diferentes: O principal com um quarto e uma pequena sala de estar para os avós, e outros dois semelhantes para os filhos e netos, constituídos por dois quartos cada.

Como uma boa casa portuguesa, é na sala onde deve morar o centro. Nela, todos os espaços convergem e se unem. Este é um lugar onde reina a transparência e a luz transborda. O vidro permite a abertura do interior para o exterior. Aqui, a ideia foi criar um ambiente amplo e agradável, que fosse propício à vivência de momentos inesquecíveis em família.

Desenvolvida horizontalmente com uma chaminé a equilibrar a sua composição, esta casa é subtilmente marcada por elementos tradicionalmente portugueses arquitetonicamente reinventados, que lhe conferem um carácter tanto pitoresco como irreverente.

Porém, o encanto deste lugar não se fica apenas pela construção da casa nem pelo perímetro do terreno. A região da Comporta, onde se localiza, tem uma magia única, que se estende pelos arrozais, pelo pinhal e pelas dunas, até desaguar no mar da inigualável costa alentejana.
